Welcome Home to Claiborne Manor

Claiborne Manor is a 100 bed facility in between Homer and Haynesville that provides superior nursing care to skilled, intermediate and long-term residents.  Our care and services are individualized to meet the needs of both short term residents and residents who have chosen Claiborne Manor as a permanent home. 

Our nursing care is superior for a number of reasons. Wound care is provided daily by a registered nurse – our current in house wound rate is 0%.  Our employees’ average length of employment is eight years – this provides for continuity of care as our employees are able to get to know each resident and accommodate their individual preferences.  Our staffing ratios are exceptional.  Nursing care is provided during the day and evening at a ratio of 1 nurse to 20 residents and at night at a ratio of 1 to 40 residents.  Certified nursing assistants care for 8-9 residents during the day and evening and care for 20 residents at night.  Our team has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as a 5 Star Nursing Home. 

Our activity program is designed to meet the specific needs of each resident and includes both group and individual activities on a daily basis.  Some of our more popular routine activities are bingo, bible studies, karaoke and live music, social events and outings such as fishing trips and scenic tours. 

Rehabilitation services include in house speech, occupational and physical therapies and restorative nursing.  For short term residents, discharge planning begins upon admission to develop goals that will enable the resident a rapid recovery.  While average length of rehabilitation varies due to individual needs, we typically discharge 3-4 residents back home every month.
